I realized I need to speed up the story a bit so I can start writing about what God is doing in our lives now!

Early this year (January or February), the Lord brought to light that I had expectations of myself that were not realistic. As a stay at home mom (or home manager as I recently learned), I thought I needed to be available all the time and couldn’t seek outside opportunities for myself (without the kids) beyond grocery shopping. After a few meltdowns and conversations with Matt, we realized I needed to start looking! So the Lord provided a Beth Moore Bible study to attend. There were so many benefits! Simply stepping away from daily responsibilities was one of them.

The discussion with women of different ages and backgrounds was so refreshing. The study on James provided accountability and encouragement for me to spend more time and sink deeper into the Word of God. Spending the time each day studying the Word naturally resulted in me being reminded of many lessons I needed in interacting with my kids and husband. And the Lord even provided prayer and financial supporters through the study.

The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
