Psalm 37:25

In 2007, a friend encouraged us with this verse during the 3 months we spent looking for jobs and it has been on my mind ever since.

In May 2012, with Matt working 10-7 and every other Saturday, it was difficult to set up meetings with people to talk about how God was leading us to work with OMF. So after much prayer and thought, we decided he should resign at the end of the school year so he could focus on partnership development (gathering addresses/phone numbers, writing and mailing letters, making phone calls, preparing presentations, traveling, meetings, etc.).

Because we would be without much income for a few months, we thought we could check into applying for food assistance. After talking with some friends, we discovered that we would probably not qualify due to saving to pay for bills over the summer.

The NEXT DAY, a different friend called me to say that they had a box of food that someone had not picked up from their church’s food pantry and would we want it?

My God provides!

I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
    or their children begging bread.
