Just start
Here we go.
They say the hardest part is getting started, right?
I’ve been thinking about writing blog-style posts for a long time. Like 10 years. I found a note in my journal from 2013, shortly after we moved to Denver to join OMF, expressing this desire to write. I had just finished seminary and I was full of ideas. Here and there I wrote articles for OMF, like How Racism Hinders Global Missions and What Should I Do to Prepare for Long-Term Missions?
Fear and anxiety held me back from writing more. I didn’t want to add to the noise of opinions online. I didn’t want to have to argue with people who disagreed. Through a few life changes and months of counseling I’ve come to accept that sharing what God puts on my heart can be a blessing to people around me.
So here we go.

Initially I plan to write around the theme of my life’s passion: to see the nations worship Jesus together. Cultures, missions, Bible, worship, church, unity, etc. I want to describe and encourage glimpses of the heavenly worship service here on earth.
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
The global church is an incredible family. Let’s talk (well, read and write) about how amazing our God is and how we can serve him together.
Here we go!
